Merry Christmas to All and Happy Holiday from us!

My son celebrates his first ever Christmas celebration at his great grandmother's house today (wearing cute full-on Santa costume). Will post more photos soon, I'm just too tired to load all the photos tonight.

'Tis the season to be jolly and may you all have a Merry Christmas!

Can't wait.

ok, shoes

I am currently loving (and wanting) the following shoes:

Lanvin two-tone crinkled-leather ballerina flats

Lanvin leather ballerina flats

Miu Miu bow-embellished patent leather flats

It all comes down to the fact that I currently need a new pair of cute flats (preferrebly in black) that can go from day to night in a jiff. My current one is almost busted from the frequent use. So I guess the next time I'm going out on a shopping expedition, better put that on top of my list.

ps: By the way, remember that I'm longing for a new camera? Well, forget G11. I got myself a brand new Canon Powershot S95. Let me tell you one thing, it was GREAT. Love it. Worth every penny.

random rants

I am relieved to say that I've finished all my Christmas shopping and everything is all wrapped up ready to go! Even a Christmas gift for my little boy. Not that he'll understand what the hell is happening.. but I'm sure he'll enjoy the gift nevertheless.

Christmas is just around the corner! I'm so excited it's not even funny. I love the whole Christmas atmosphere. It's so full of joy and fun.

Today is my grandmother's 80th birthday. We celebrate it in style at Gran Mahakam hotel with a few of her close friends and the whole family.

I guess I'm just trying to update what's been up lately. So there you go. I'll write some more exciting stuff soon. Well, I'll try, at least.

Greetings, December

Boy, how excited am I that December is here? It means that Christmas is well on its way! I'm excited of the Christmas shopping and celebration at my grandmother's house. Each year I always thought of a theme on what to give for my family. This year unfortunately, I haven't really thought of an exciting themes or ideas due to first-time motherhood. I'd better figure something out pretty soon before the Christmas shopping expedition begun!

Confused on what to give for your family/friends/luvvah? Stay tuned, because I'll be posting some Christmas gift ideas real soon!

something for november

This is a funny bit. Taken from Glamour US magazine Nov 2010 issue.

1. Your bag was stolen, giving you the best excuse ever to buy a new, even nicer bag. Joke's on you, robber man!

2. After three weeks on crutches, your triceps will be ripped.

3. An outdoor wedding in the rain makes for very cinematic pictures.

4. Two days of stomach flu: Hey! Take those jeans out of the giveaway bag... They fit again!

5. Maybe the firemen will be hot.

6. Well, at least you know the air bags work.

7. If someone steals your identity, that means they have to take on your credit card debt, right? Right?

8. Now they can see that, besides being brilliant and beautiful, at heart you're just a regular person with a temper.

9. Having a pimple makes you look younger.

10. The baby. The baby is the silver lining even though you just got a million stitches down there.

Enjoy November!

Trick or Treat

My baby is only 2 months old I can't exactly leave him yet to go off partying to celebrate Halloween. So I decided to dress my little boy with a teddy bear costume. His face may look disinterested only because he doesn't understand and he's rather feeling sleepy ;)

Happy Halloween everyone! Happy creep-day!

by the way...

Are you wondering if I ever gotten any of the stuff on my wish lists for my birthday? I didn't get them all obviously. But my lovely husband got me the "Facehunter" book and a brand new, very beautiful stainless food mixer! I can't wait to start baking again. Once I have the time that is.

I also got a gift a brand new laptop from my parents. Well, actually they just gave me the money and let me pick out my own laptop. Once I have the time to actually browse the shop for one that is.

I'm planning to give a birthday treat for myself a fab new designer handbag. I've been saving up enough money for it. Wait and see ;)

I've been so pre-occupied nursing and caring for my son (not giving in to nanny-hood yet!) that I haven't had the chance to actually sit in front of my computer long enough to update anything.

Motherhood is something new and foreign to me. I've been taking each day one step at a time learning of becoming a mother. I can tell you this, it's TOUGH man! Very exhausting at times, but (get ready to barf if you must) its all worth it in the end when I look at his face, touched his tiny fingers, tickle him and he smiled at you, stared you straight in the eyes. It's a feeling that I can't quite explain.

As our traditional custom, after 40 days since the birth of a child, one must celebrate by cutting a little bit of the baby's hair.

That's all from me for now. Don't worry, I won't be turning this blog page ranting on and on about mommyhood and baby stuff. Okay, maybe once in a while. Haha. But I'll be back with other exciting posts!

This is me. Less than a month after I gave birth to son. Not bad, hey?

Now I'm back in my old skinny jeans! Not bad at all. I'm aiming to lose a few more pounds - back to my wedding weight again :P Got more toning up to do!

En Garde Artilleries - In Love, and War Part 1

How proud am I to write about this one as my brother is the mastermind behind this project - En Garde Artilleries "IN LOVE, AND WAR PART 1"

Here's the story:

The idea was conceived in 2008 by Narya who had always wanted to create his own line of jewelry for men. The name ‘En Garde’ just came out of nowhere and it has been his pet project’s name ever since. ‘Artilleries’ is added sometime later to replace the word ‘jewelry’.

Swords and firearms may be the most standout ‘accessory’ worn by many men of the past, however, today the term ‘artilleries’ may refer to something completely different. This is why, and how En Garde Artilleries was finally born in 2010.

En Garde Artilleries fuses history, romance and film noir into a collection of handmade jewelry - combining different materials such as metal, wood and acrylic to create masculine yet still unisex, sophisticated pieces.

September Birthday Wish Lists

Well, well. September is here! And you know what that means? My birthday is coming up! Instead of a monthly shopping wish-lists, I'm creating my birthday present wish-lists! Take notes! Haha.

CANON G11 Camera

"FACEHUNTER" by Yvan Rodic

"INFLUENCE" by MaryKate and Ashley Olsen

"PS I MADE THIS" by Erica Domesek

So, is anyone willing to get me something from the list? *wink*

A New Beginning

I know I've been MIA the last couple of weeks, well, make that months. A lot has been going on. But one thing that has kept me so occupied is preparing for the birth of my baby. And on August 26th 2010 I gave birth to my first son, Aidan Avanindra Hakim, through normal birthing. The labor itself was pretty easy thanks to hypnobirthing and pilates. No unnecessary swearing and screaming. Everything went really peaceful as my husband and I welcomed our new bundle of joy into the world:

Sass & Bide

My all-time favorite Australian fashion label, Sass and Bide, has been internationally acclaimed and recognized for its quirkiness and over the top styling. It was founded by Sarah-Jane Clarke and Heidi Middleton in 1999 and has been building quite a reputation all around the world! The label launched with innovative and unique denim designs. Within two years, the collection expanded into seasonal ready-to-wear.

Check out some of my favorite designs from the newest season:

"Ava Grace cropped top" $300

"Be The One beaded t-shirt" $360

"Beaded linen dress" $715

"Forget The Rest dress" $1,220

"The Free Thought Beach dress" $230

"This Isn't An Artform jumpsuit" $570

"The Story beaded leggings" $340

"Like Minded People pants" $470

"Black Rats leggings" $180

I wore one of the Sass & Bide's fabulous maxi dresses from previous seasons for my pre-wed photoshoot: (I really love this dress because it's elegant yet still so versatile to be dressed up or down)
