Alexander McQueen (1969 - 2010)

In remembrance of Alexander McQueen
(1969 - 2010)

Lee Alexander McQueen is an English fashion designer known for his unconventional designs and shock tactics. McQueen's dramatic designs, worn by many celebrities, met with critical acclaim and earned him the British Fashion Designer of the Year award four times.

His death was a devastating news to everyone. His death was announced on 11 February 2010, shortly after he was found dead at his home on Green Street, London W1, where paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene. No one can conclude exactly the reason behind his sudden death. But one thing for sure, he will be terribly missed.

Here's a look back on some of his designs and creations during his lifetime:

I am a very big McQueen fan. I love his designs. His creativity juice flows with each pieces he ever made. His most known work is the Skull-printed silk scarf that everyone seems to be donning. I'm paying homage to him by wearing a black Alexander McQueen's Skull-printed silk scarf all this week.

Great people are taken away too soon. Rest in peace Alexander McQueen, see you on the other side. May your Greatness will live on through your designs and creations.

homemade pizza toast

I got bored at home some time ago. I got hungry. I went to the kitchen and started to rummage through my fridge. I created this homemade whole-wheat pizza toast. Very delicious and I am proud to say! It's fairly easy to make too. It only takes a slice of whole-wheat toast, tomato puree, low-fat butter, sausage (or whatever toppings you like) and any kind of cheese (I had the Kraft cheddar melt cheese). You can even add some onions or bell peppers if you wish. I had to do with the things I had then.

Try it!

I love creating something delicious from something I already had in the fridge.

February '10 Wish Lists

Haven't been updating my blog much. But helloooo world, I'm back! I was going to make a January '10 Wish Lists blog post.. guess what, it's February already. So what's the point of going back? Moving forward.

This month I'm all about comfort. The reason is mainly because.. well, I'll tell you the reason after 9 months *hint* haha. Comfort is good. Being comfortable is my main fashion goal this month and all throughout the next 7 or so more months I guess? But, "comfortable" doesn't mean sloppy! Here's my February '10 shopping wish-lists:

(Top to Bottom, clockwise)
  1. Elizabeth and James tie-front crinkled crepe jumpsuit
  2. Mike & Chris neylak cotton mini dress
  3. Elizabeth and James origami oversized t-shirt
  4. Elizabeth and James double-breasted twill blazer
  5. Alexander McQueen skull clasp clutch
  6. Alexander McQueen carribean skull print scarf

Being comfortable to me means casually chic. So I guess I'll be loading on statement costume jewelries and accessories until (almost) the end of this year. I'll be discussing more about that on the next blog post.
