The Royal Wedding

Been cooped up in front of the TV for the last couple of hours watching live report on the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. I'm not gonna lie, my eyes went a bit watery when Kate Middleton got out from the car about to enter the Westminster Abbey. I feel like the proud momma or something. Anyway. It was a very sophisticated and elegant event. Can't believe Prince William is married haha.

Although I'm a bit disappointed that Kate Middleton decided to do her own makeup for the wedding (I thought she should at least do more for a Royal Wedding, you know? She was a bit pale), her wedding dress was gorgeous! Simple and elegant. Very modern-day princess. It was designed by Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen fashion house. Very Grace Kelly vibe.

Congratulations HRH The Duke of Cambridge (Prince William of Wales) and HRH The Duchess of Cambridge. May you both shall live happily ever after.

Mom.

Here's a fun one.

11 Times You Still Need Your Mother, courtesy of Glamour US May 2011:

1. When the love of your life gives you a diamond ring... or meets someone else.

2. The moment you pee on a stick and it's (OMG!) positive.

3. On the morning of your birthday, when no one else is going to call till noon.

4. When someone gives you a compliment so lavish you'd be embarrassed to repeat it to anyone else.

5. When you find a lump. Or she does.

6. When the kids you're babysitting won't stop crying.

7. When you get your first pink-eye or food processor... or mother-in-law.

8. When you need someone to assure you that, yes, 30 (or 40!) is still really, really young.

9. When you need to know the exact shade to fix your undereye circles.

10. When the recipe calls for evaporated milk and you're standing in the grocery aisle wondering, Is that a powder? A liquid? A gas?

11. When you've swung up to the sky, and it doesn't seem real until she applauds.

I love you, Mom.

The Baby Shower

This is the (too) long overdue post on my baby shower back in June 27th 2010 (my boy is already 8-months old now for pete's sake). But it's better late than never right?

This may not be your typical baby shower party, we went full on traditional and it was held during my 7 months of pregnancy.

The decoration:

The gifts for guests (home-made rose-scented bath salts!):

The stuff used for the traditional ceremony:

The ceremony started off with prayers:

And so the ceremony began:

Being "showered with blessings":

With both sides of family (wait, minus my little brother.. where is he?):

Oh, there he is. Hanging out with two of my bestfriends:

Happy Easter

Went to my grandmother's house to celebrate Easter. I'm quite excited taking my boy for his first ever Easter celebration. However, when its time for the Easter Egg hunt, he fell asleep shortly after lunch. Too bad haha. I can't wait for next year. I'm sure he'll understand what's going on more and getting in on all the excitement himself.

I did bring my camera but unfortunately didn't take much photos. Especially since Aidan slept anyway throughout the excitement of Easter celebration --"

Until next year, Easter Bunny!

Big Pimpin'

Took my boy for a swim at our swimming pool (for the first time!) and it was quite a successful one. He had a swimming session previously, but in our bath or a small baby pool at the Spa Baby.

Check out his pimpin' style (with the lion statue on the background). How awesome.

hello, you.

I finally got my hands on a brand new laptop! Feast your eyes on my new Toshiba Portege r700 (don't mind the messes on my desk):

It is exactly how I expect it's going to be and as light as a thin folder map.

stand up, stand out

Proud parents moment: My boy has reached another milestone! He can now grab hold onto something in order to stand up. And now all he ever wants to do is to stand up (holding on to practically anything he can get a lift out of). Every morning he'd wake me at exactly 7am standing up in his crib mumbling random things.

Can't believe he's 7 and a half months already.

kiddy up!

Recently my brother has been somewhat obsessed with purchasing costume/PJs with specific characters.

He called this one Fitzgerald the Giraffe:

And of course, his favorite, Stitch:

I am (secretly) interested in getting a costume myself. It looked cozy and comfortable and warm as a PJs (as also recommended by my brother). However, I'm confused on what character I should get. My husband isn't in on the whole costume hoopla. No fun, eh? Too bad there's no size for my little bebe. Otherwise, I would've definitely get him some cute costumes (like a baby seal or something haha!).

April Fools

Happy April Fool's Day everyone! Greetings from me and moi bebe (his smirk is pretty mischievous enough for April Fool's right?)

April Fool's hasn't really been a tradition on my part. I don't have the intention to play a prank on someone on April Fool's. I just couldn't be bothered. But nevertheless, once again, Happy April Fool's and may you spend it wisely with smart pranks instead of an awful joke that may hurt someone. Cheers!
