Here Fishy, Fishy

We (as in me and the husband) decided to take baby A to our own local Seaworld Indonesia last Sunday. Got up early (avoiding too crowded Seaworld), baby A was all excited even before we hopped in to the car. I must say I'm pretty proud with our Seaworld because it was awesome compare to the one in Singapore which I find very small. Anyway. It was a nice Sunday morning, the weather was perfect, not scorching hot yet it wasn't cloudy either. Just perfect. The admission to enter Seaworld is IDR 60.000 per person (above 2 years old). Children under the age of 2 may enter for free! Although the attractions and exhibitions was good I think they could do with more aquarium cleaning.

I realized baby A really enjoyed aquatic life more. Cute.

The Girls

My friend Lisa is back in town (the one front right in the first picture)! She currently resides in New York, so it's always fun whenever she comes back to Jakarta. So much to catch up! So we (as in me and my favorite girls) had dinner together tonight at Nanny's Pavilion Pacific Place. The husband and Baby A tag along too but they were busy watching the Barongsay (those lion thing on behalf of the upcoming Lunar New Year). It was great fun catching up with these girls.

Can't wait until our next get-togethers!

The look - Shiny Knight

Inspired by Knights in their armor back in the days.

I'm wearing H&M oversized metallic sweater, which is the base of the look, Forever21 black leather shorts and suede wedge shoes made by local shoemaker La Jolie. If you look closely at the sweater, the mesh-look reminds me of the inner mesh piece Knights wore underneath their armors. The socks take this look down a notch from too tough to edgy-pretty. That's what I think at least.

What do you think?

That's what you feel when your child is sick and looking helpless. You want to do anything you possibly can to make them feel all better. If I can just kiss his sickness away I would.

love. love. love.

Here are some of the awesome purchases I made during the Singapore new year's trip.

Studio Tang's nude wedges
CANON S95 vintage-inspired brown leather camera case
Topshop floral sheer blouse
Topshop onyx cocktail rings
Livework vintage-inspired rose leather agenda
H&M oversized metallic cable-knit sweater

With a touch of floral, nude and pastel colors, I guess you could say I'm ready to welcome spring soon!

fever be gone

Ugh. My son has caught a severe fever after his scheduled vaccination the other day. This never happened before. Usually, baby A is as healthy as an ox and still bubbly after any vaccination or even while he's sick. This time around I don't know why he caught the fever. Though some sources that I read mentioned that it is normal for a child to caught a severe fever after vaccination (the effects varied on different child), I'm still a bit panicky that my boy caught it because he never had.

Anyway. I'm actually not the pro-vaccine kind of mom, but I only allowed the most necessary ones. Other than that, I won't allow it. Why? Because vaccines these days are just used as tools to make more money for those "vaccine factory". Call me bitter, but I find some of the so-called must-have vaccines are so unnecessary.

Anyway. I hope baby A gets well soon.

re-cap Singapore part 4

Final day we spent it power-shopping. Like, literally. My legs almost fell off from their sockets!

The next day we got up bright and early to catch our flight back home to Jakarta. Took the 12.30 flight with SQ. Just enough time to do some last minute shopping at Changi airport.

Until next time, Singapore!

re-cap Singapore part 3

Went to the Singapore Zoo day 3. Baby A was so excited seeing all the animals (particularly those that involves water and aquarium of some sort).

Late in the afternoon we went to IKEA for some home furniture shopping. Then went to VIVO where baby A played with the water fountain. I don't know what's up with his fascination with water. He's obsessed!

re-cap Singapore part 2

Day 2, new year's eve up bright and early to go to Universal Studio Singapore. This time around, baby A understood his surroundings more so he's enjoying the theme park more. I tried the new Transformers the Ride. It was pretty awesome. They combined 3D, simulator, somewhat roller coaster (think Indiana Jones the Ride in Disneyland).. It was pretty awesome.

For new year's celebration we had dinner with some of my father's friend at the Mezzanine Grand Hyatt, then hubs, baby A and I took a stroll around Orchard to see all the beautiful lights. We were planning to see fireworks at Marina Bay Sands but apparently people have been pretty bummed with the traffic and whatnot, we decided to stay in.

I reckon Singapore did a pretty awesome job with the street lighting.
