Hong Kong Trip Day 1

So. Woke up super early on Wednesday (May 16th) to catch the Garuda 10am flight. Baby A was such a pleasant from the moment he woke up, showered, getting dressed, and heading to the airport.

After we checked in, we still have a bit of time to hang out at the Garuda Lounge where we had a quick breakfast. Baby A devoured two bowls of chicken porridge! At around 9.30 we headed to the flight gate only to find they're not even ready and an announcement was made that due to maintenance issue, the flight was delayed for about 15 minutes. Only until minutes later, they informed us that the flight will be delayed for another hour! I was a bit disappointed with Garuda at that moment. However, 10 minutes later, they informed us again that they are ready to board passengers. WTF. All in all, the flight was alright. A few turbulence here and there. But what sorta ticked me was the stewardesses' incapability to service the passengers. They are incompetent morons, to put it mildly, that the chief steward had to come and assist us himself. Thank God it was only a 4 hours flight. Otherwise, I think I'm about to hit the roof!

Arrived in cloudy Hong Kong at about 3pm. Though it was cloudy, the weather was somewhat humid. Not a perfect combination.

A car picked us up to take us to, where else, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort! Where we'll be spending the rest of our stay in Hong Kong. I was grinning from ear to ear. Yes, y'all know I'm a Disney fanatic!

We stayed at the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel (more on the hotel later). It was a beautiful hotel. Victorian style (very Disney). Soon as we reached the hotel, the husband and my father checked in, while my mother, Baby A and myself checked out the gift shop. So many cute stuff! I had to stop myself from buying anything right at that moment. I mean, it's only Day 1 after all. Although the husband and Baby A did gotten into a little 'funny' argument on which toys should they get. Baby A really wanted this Buzz Lightyear police car, while the husband told him to just get the Cars' toys. In the end, Baby A won and he got what he wanted. Haha.

Check out the room key card: It's Woody!

After we settled into our room, we took a shower and since it's almost 7pm, we decided to have dinner at the Enchanted Garden. It was buffet style and most of the food are served shaped like Disney characters. I want to devour everything! But I was too full. Keep in mind that here you can eat accompanied by Disney characters: Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto and Goofy! They'll be going from tables to tables to greet you and you can take pictures with them! Fun! Baby A was ecstatic!

Mickey Mouse wasabi

Check out the Winnie the Pooh's mango mousse!!

Dessert table.. Yum.

After dinner, we went outside to take a peek at the Mickey Maze. Then went back into our room to rest. Tomorrow is a big day! Until Day 2!
